Nancys parents, Henry and Naomi Ludwig, were a constant presence in her life and that of her younger sister, Janice, who passed away in Illinois in 2000, an event that shook the family and. Nancy joined UMass Lowell in 2018 and is excited to be working with the students, faculty, and staff at UMass Lowell in the area of Graduate, Online & Professional Studies. James Hughes is an American writer, editor, and producer who has worked in a few documentary series & films such as New Port South and Reach the Rock.Hughes is also better known as the youngest son of famous filmmaker John Hughes and his widow Nancy Ludwig. Throughout her career, Nancy has been active in many professional associations, and she continues to be a student of higher education. Nancy also worked at Northeastern University for over two decades and held senior roles at the University including Associate Vice Provost, Institutional Research & Data Administration. She became ill two weeks ago, a day after she buried her mother Naomi Ludwig. Nancy Ludwig, associate dean of administration, finance and enrollment management for GPS, says GPS will slowly reintroduce services like walk-in hours at the new location this semester, with hopes of building toward more normal operations by the spring. Her work focuses on sustainable urban projects that create new paradigms for city living and range from transit-oriented development to innovative adaptive reuse, and from low-rise to high-rise construction. Prior to joining UMass Lowell, Nancy served in several senior roles at Merrimack College including VP Administrative Affairs in the provost’s office, VP Institutional Effectiveness, and AVP Institutional Research/Registrar. Biography: Nancy Ludwig, FAIA, LEED AP is the President of ICON Architecture, a 50-person Boston-based, women-owned firm. Nancy has held various leadership positions in higher education and is energized by the opportunities presented in the changing landscape. She considers herself an agile leader who grows by taking on new challenges. Some of Nancy’s interests include leading and managing change, capacity building, mentoring and developing staff, data informed decision-making, and aligning infrastructure to meet business demands and industry opportunities. She provides leadership spanning all aspects of the division which includes the International Student Office, Graduate Support Services, academic advising and student success for undergraduate online and professional studies students, the division’s marketing and technology units, financial management, online course development, scheduling, admissions and recruitment, and corporate education. Nancy Ludwig is dean of the Graduate, Online & Professional Studies division at UMass Lowell.
